Product Care & Safety

diffuser warning

Do not swallow. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not allow diffuser liquid to come into contact with textiles or finished surfaces. Wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth. Do not spill on painted or porous surfaces. Keep away from heat.

candle warning

To prevent fire and serious injury burn candles within sight. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.

first burn

Allow your candle to burn up to 4 hours on the first burn to ensure the wax melts evenly across the surface. Extinguishing too early may result in tunnelling, leaving unburned wax on the sides of your vessel.

maximum burn time

Fragrance is emitted through the evaporation of the hot wax pool, burning for too long results in over thinning of the wax which reduces the fragrance. Not burning for long enough may cause tunnelling and reduce the fragrance evaporation.

We do not recommend you burn your candles for longer than 4 hours at a time, burning for longer will damage the fragrance oils and cause your vessel to get too hot.

Blowing out your candles is not recommended as it can cause the melted wax to splatter, creating a mess. We recommend using a candle snuffer which works by suffocating the flame. Alternatively, you can use a wick dipper, this tool allows you to gently bend the wick into the melted wax and re-straighten ready for the next burn, this extinguishing process also reduces the wick from smoking.

wick trimming

It is important to maintain a short wick to get the most out of your flame, approximately 6mm is ideal. We recommend trimming your wick prior to every burn. A trimmed wick will promote a steady flame, prevent the wick from mushrooming and allow your wax to melt evenly. A wick trimmer is the most accurate and effective way to ensure your wick is maintained evenly.
